TASK #1:
1) Log in to Google Reader (use your Google Account)
2) Find at least one blog or website you think you'd like to follow.
3) Add that to your Google Reader feed.

What is blogging?
Check em out. FIRST RULE: Read blogs, the types you want to create. These are your best sources for inspiration.
Time has a listing of about the 25 Best Blogs of 2010. Check some of them out. Make note of Purpose, Audience, and Content (visual and textual)

Blog sites to use:
wordpress.org (limited)
blogger.com (part of the Google suite)


Activity:
Take a bunch of pictures.
Choose 3-5 and and reflect on a possible theme for you blog.
Create a title for your blog that goes along with your intended theme.
Post daily/weekly.
Develop a blogroll (a list of blogs associated with your blog that you read and refer to)
Original posts
Ask students to reflect on learning
Ask students to respond to an online article
Ask students to "journal" in the voice of another character
Ask students to post a picture that "tells" a story; ask other students to view and comment on the picture.
